Free Crochet Pattern: Fingerless Gloves & Boot Cuffs

Diamonds & Gems Fingerless Gloves and Boot Cuffs Pattern

I really enjoyed the stitch pattern in the Diamonds & Gems Stockings, so I decided to investigate other ways I could use this simple but impactful stitch design. With the cooler weather upon us, fingerless gloves and boot cuffs seemed a natural!

These pieces are designed in worsted weight yarn so they work up very quickly and using many colors makes them great stash busters too! I’m planning on making several sets for stocking stuffers. I hope you enjoy them too 🙂

When working the thumb you start the round same as the other rounds, but then you work a longer chain (which will form the hole for the thumb) skip 3 clusters and continue working in the round. In the next round, you work the chains too in order to get the hand section completed.

    Hello,

I am making the gloves and I am stuck at Round 7 and 8 where the thumb insert is made. I am very confused to what you are trying to tell us to do . I tried different things and it didnt work. Can you write out what I am suppose to do in those steps? thanks you.

Yes you are correct, I’ve clarified in the post.

Love this and I am making gloves and cuffs to accessorize the crowl neck poncho I made for me…I am wondering …Is there a chain 1 after the turn when crocheting the cuff rows?
    Thanks
