Free Crochet Pattern for Citrus Splash Kitchen Set

This crochet pattern is inspired by my love for crocheted dish cloths!

I know it sounds strange, but I really do think that cotton, crocheted (or knit, but I’m not a great knitter) dish towels are better than the fabric ones you can buy at the typical home store. Handmade dish towels are super absorbent, you can make them as large or small as you like, they are a good thickness to allow for a lot of dish processing and they don’t leave fibers behind on your dishes. Throw them in the washer and dryer and they are fluffy and ready for the next use!Free Crochet Pattern Citrus Splash for Dishtowel Set by CrochetZone.com

Heart Add to Ravelry

This set includes a dish towel crocheted in a dense, absorbent stitch combination, trimmed with a pretty edge to keep your kitchen decor stylish. The small dish pad is great for washing dishes or to wipe off counters and appliances. And for tougher dish duty, use the scrubby. The loops provide extra abrasion to scrub off food particles.

You may add repeats to make it longer if you wish.

  2. Meg s

I feel the dish towel should be longer than the R9-22 zone stated. By double?!?

Hi Kristan, sorry you are having trouble. If you have 34 sts in the previous row, row 3 starts with a dc in the first 2, skip 1, then 9 repeats in total of the Vst/skip 2, followed by one V St with a skip 1, and dc in the last 2. So the math looks like this:
    2 dc
    1 skip
    27 V St/skip 2 sequence
    2 V St/skip 1 sequence
    2 dc
    34 total

Hello! This is a very beautiful pattern, but I am very confused on row 3 for the dish towel. I did the [dc, ch1, dc] and skipped 2 like you said and repeated that 8 times but I ended up not making it to the end. What did I do wrong? Or was there an error?

You are so right! Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I’ve corrected the post.

thank you for these beautiful patterns! I had to start the dish towel as soon as I saw it! But, I think there is an error on row 3. You have to skip 2 between your V stitch to make the repeat 9 times and 34 stitch count come out correct. Or the * needs to be moved to include the skip one before you start your V stitch. Again love these and thank you for your generosity in sharing your hard work for free!

I think There is a mistake in stitch count for dish scrubber base
    You have 8, 16, 16, 24, 32 increase in the base.
    I figured it to be 8, 16, 24, 32, 40
