Free Crochet Pattern for Fall Harvest Beanie!

For some reason, I have always found autumn to be a soothing and comforting season. Things seem to mellow a bit and it’s a great time to start thinking about holiday plans. I’m well into the fall and holiday preparation mode. I’ve been baking apple pies, with apples we picked on a weekend excursion, and freezing them for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’ve decorated the house with wreaths, adorned with brightly colored silk leaves and dried berries and full loopy bows. And, I’ve started crocheting again!Crochet Pattern Fall Harvest Beanie by Crochet Zone

I haven’t had much time to crochet over the past few months, but was so inspired by the autumn landscape that I designed this simple and classic beanie crochet pattern to give my friend’s little boy. The pattern is sized from 3 months to adult. I made it in an autumn blend variegated yarn and added the cute curls on top, but I think it would look great in stripes or a solid color with pompom on top, a tassel or with nothing at all!

  1. CrochetZone

They are sewn in at the end, like you would with a pompom.

  2. Judy

I want to make your Fall Harvest Beanie, but how do I attach the curls to the hat? are they sewn on at the end or do you attach them right to the hat

  3. Love this crochet hat! 🙂 All Free Crochet loves it too, and we featured it in one of our most popular pattern collection pages (http://www.allfreecrochet.com/Hats/24-Beginner-Crochet-Hat-Patterns).
